What we collect, and why
This is a working draft, not a reviewed legal document. It describes what OpenSet actually collects and does today, plainly. It has not yet been reviewed by a UAE lawyer, and nothing here is legal advice. See also the Terms & Conditions.
1. Who runs this
OpenSet is operated by Anqor Studios LLC FZ, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy covers openset.cc: creating an account, building a profile, and applying to a project.
2. What you give us directly
An email address and password, or, if you sign in with Google, your name, email address, and profile photo from Google (we never see your Google password). If you build a profile: your name, city, a link to your portfolio or reel, and a short bio. If you apply to a role: the project, the role, and any note you add to that application.
3. What we don't collect
No payment or card information is collected on OpenSet. Sponsor and paid arrangements are handled directly, off-platform. We don’t run advertising trackers or analytics on this site today.
4. How it's used
To run your account, show your application to the project you’re applying for, and let us contact you about it. Your profile and applications are not used for anything beyond that: no resale, no marketing lists, no sharing with anyone outside the specific project you applied to.
5. Who can actually see it
You can always see and edit your own profile and your own applications. The person reviewing applications for a project you applied to can see your name, email, city, portfolio link, and your note for that application. That access is enforced at the database level, not just hidden by a page: nobody else, including other applicants, can read it.
6. Who processes it on our behalf
Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication (your password, if you use one, is managed by them, not stored by us in plain text). Vercel hosts the site itself. If you sign in with Google, Google authenticates you and shares your basic profile info with us, per their own privacy policy.
7. Cookies
OpenSet uses one functional cookie, set by Supabase, to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your profile and applications for as long as your account exists. There’s no self-serve delete button yet; to delete your account and data, contact Anqor Studios directly and we’ll remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
Placeholder: to be set by counsel If what we collect or how we use it changes, we’ll update this page and note the change.
Questions about this policy: reach Anqor Studios directly. Contact details will be published here alongside the reviewed version.
